It is with the utmost regret that I inform you that I have suspended my chinchilla breeding operations, as a result of a personal health issue. It will be ten years in March, 2012, when we purchased our first chinchilla from the "chinman", a breeder from Coventry, RI. Dusty sired many kits, including the three white mosaics appearing in the above movie. It is interesting to note that the second and third chins we purchased, Smokey and Snow, wil be ten years' old in early 2012. I still have them, and both are in good health. I have had 85 adult chins in my breeding program (as many as 50 at one time). Nearly 300 viable kits were born here, and I'm proud to say that none of my kits were ever placed in a pet store. Many of my adults are now in the care of Kitt H., a responsible breeder and friend from Worcester, MA. Kitt has recently taken the Veterinaru Boards and will soon become a licensed Vet.
